Latest releases

  • Ella Maisy Purvis and Caitlin Hamilton, who both completed LAMDA's Foundation Diploma, star in A Kind of Spark, available now on BBC iPlayer.
  • Splintered played at Soho Theatre in April, starring Yolanda Ovide and featuring Annie May Fletcher as Sound Designer, Laura Howard as Lighting Designer, and Ola Przytula as Associate Lighting Designer. 
  • Faun is currently touring the UK until 13 May, with Tabitha Piggott as Production Manager and Laura Howard as Lighting Designer.
  • Louise Hoare is currently starring in Snowflakes at Park Theatre, which runs until 6 May.
  • William Ellis has joined the cast of Eastenders, airing on weekdays on BBC One.
  • Animal, starring William Oxborrow and with Production Management by Tabitha Piggott, is showing at Park Theatre until 20 May.
  • Arsema Thomas will star in the Bridgerton prequel series, Queen Charlotte, arriving on Netflix on 4 May.
  • David Oyelowo, Harriet Walter and 2021 graduate Sarah Farrell are amongst the cast of Silo, premiering on Apple TV+ on 5 May.
  • Heyfever is playing at the Arcola Theatre from 8 – 13 May, with cast members Feride Morçay, Matthew Rainsberry, David Abécassis, Brandon Boruch, Anastasia Thiras, and Jahmiko Marshall as Lighting Designer.
  • From 11 May – 3 June, Ned Costello is starring in Leaves of Glass at Park Theatre, which is directed by Max Harrison.
  • Ruth Wilson stars in the Second Woman at the Young Vic from 19 – 20 May.
  • From 22 May, Benedict Salter will be amongst the cast of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, playing at Southwark Playhouse until 1 July.
  • Maureen Lipman is returning to the West End from 23 May – 18 June, with Roseshowing at the Ambassadors Theatre.
  • Bryony Corrigan is starring in I, Daniel Blake from 25 May – 10 June at Northern Stage, before the show begins its UK tour.
  • Claire Benedict, Laura Hanna, Danielle Phillips and Hari MacKinnon have been cast in the Globe’s production of A Comedy of Errors, which plays from 12 May – 29 July.

Things to look forward to

  • Arty Froushan has been announced amongst the cast of Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again.
  • A Manchester Anthem, starring Tom Claxton, is heading to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2023 after winning the Pleasance Pick at the VAULT Festival Award.
  • Nessa Matthews has joined the cast of The Tourist season 2.
  • Tabitha Piggott will be Assistant Production Management on The Pillowman, opening at the Duke of York Theatre in the West End on 10 June.
  • Brian Cox is set to appear as ‘The Controller’ in Amazon Prime’s James Bond competition show, 007’s Road to a Million.

  • Congratulations to William Robinson and Daniel Rock who have been nominated for the 2023 Ian Charleson Awards.
  • Congratulations to Bethany McDonald Shepherd whose short film The Women Inside won the Jury Award for Best Short Film at the London Independent Film Festival. The documentary-style film was devised over ten weeks with a group of eight women from the Hibiscus Women's Centre and features an all-female cast, crew and creative team. Find out more and watch the trailer.
  • Bush Theatre’s Sleepova, which starred Amber Grappy, has been nominated at the Offies for Performance Ensemble.
  • Harriet Walter is in conversation with film critic David Thompson on 2 May, discussing the art of acting.
  • Congratulations to all our LAMDA alumni involved in nominated and winning shows at the 2023 Olivier Awards, including Rebecca Frecknall who directed A Streetcar Named Desire (winning ‘Best Revival’) and Tom Morton-Smith, writer of My Neighbour Totoro which won 6 awards. Esh Alladi starred in The P Word (winner of ‘Outstanding Achievement in Affiliate Theatre’) and Robert Perkins was the Stage Manager on Standing At The Sky’s Edge (winner of ‘Best New Musical’).
