• Watch Amit Shah in the first episode of Grace series 2, which is now available on ITV Hub. 
• Noughts + Crosses has returned to BBC One for its second series, starring Paterson Joseph and Jonathan Ajayi. Catch up on BBC iPlayer. 
• TV series Ten Percent, featuring Jim Broadbent and David Oyelowo, is now streaming on Amazon Prime in the UK. 
• Jim Broadbent can also be seen in Why Didn’t They Ask Evans? now available to watch on BritBox. 
• John MacCormick recently starred in Dirty Hands, which showed at the Old Red Lion Theatre throughout April. 
• Ché Francis recently performed in Drag Baby, which played at the King’s Head Theatre from 17 - 18 April. 
• Until 14 May, Saroja-Lily Ratnavel is starring in Electric Rosary at the Royal Exchange Theatre. 
• I Wanna Be Yours, starring Eva Scott, is now showing at Leeds Playhouse until 14 May. 
• Nessa Matthews is currently starring in Standing In Lifts With Strangers, running at Bewley's Theatre in Dublin until 21 May. 
• Barbara Probst can be seen in Missions, now available on BBC iPlayer. 
• Ami Tredrea is currently starring in The 47th at the Old Vic Theatre, which runs until 28 May. 
• Middle is now showing at the National Theatre until 18 June, directed by Polly Findlay, staff directed by Lucy Jane Atkinson, and starring Daniel Ryan.   
• Jerusalem is now playing at the Apollo Theatre until 7 August, and featuresNiamh Gaffney as Associate Sound Designer. 
• From 3 - 8 May, Jamie Hutchins is starring in Glacier Lake for Thursday Theatre, which will play at OSO Arts Centre. 
• DI Ray, written by Maya Sondhi and starring Jamie Bamber and Lucy Phelps, begins on ITV on 2 May. 
• 2021 MA Classical Acting alum Carolyn Hartvigsen stars in My Dead, a new one woman show, on 4 May. The play was originally written and performed as Carolyn’s thesis project while training. 
• Tara Godolphin, Angus Imrie and Michelle Bonnard will appear in We Hunt Together, airing from 5 May on Alibi in the UK. 
• Catch Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, released on 6 May. 
• The Breach, playing at Hampstead Theatre from 6 May – 4 June, features Tingying Dong as Sound Designer and Tramaine Reindorf as Assistant Director. The show also includes Alfie Jones, Douggie McMeekin and Stanley Morgan amongst the cast. 
• From 7 May, Harry Hadden-Paton is starring in My Fair Lady at the London Coliseum, reprising his Tony-nominated role from the 2018 Broadway revival. 
• 2022 graduating student Emma Shipp will be appearing in House of Shades at the Almeida Theatre from 7 May – 18 June. 
• Watch Ashley Reyes in How I Met Your Father, available on Hulu in the US and beginning on Disney+ in the UK from 11 May. 
• From 11 – 29 May, Nathan Ricard is performing in French and English in Dom Juan at The Vaults London. 
• Ralph Birtwell stars in The Father and the Assassin, playing at The National Theatre from 12 May. 
• Rose Leslie is starring in The Time Traveler’s Wife, airing on HBO in the US from 15 May and on Sky Atlantic in the UK from 16 May. 
• Benediction, starring Jeremy Irvine and Ben Daniels, is set to be released in UK cinemas from 20 May. 
• Men, with Rory Kinnear, will be released in cinemas on 20 May. 
• Britannicus, starring William Robinson and Helena Lymbery, is playing at the Lyric Hammersmith from 26 May – 25 June. 
• Joseph Quinn stars in the fourth season of Stranger Things, with the first part of season four arriving on Netflix on 27 May. 

Things to look forward to 

• Mischief Comedy will be performing three shows at this summer’s Edinburgh Fringe. Charlie Russell Aims to Please is playing at Pleasance Below, Mischief Movie Night is at Pentland Theatre, and Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle runs at Pleasance Beyond. 
• Watch the new trailer for the short film I Have Heard You Calling in the Night, which is written by and starring Will Bishop and Colm Gleeson, and is produced by Stephen Hagan. 
• This summer, 2021 graduate Lucy Gray can be seen in The Gunpowder Plot at Tower Vaults. 
• Belle Bao will be directing VOID as part of Theatre Deli's SHIFT+SPACE programme, showing on 10 and 11 June. 
• In July, Lucy Jane Atkinson is directing the Canadian premiere of Girls and Boys in Ontario, which will star fellow alum Fiona Mongillo. The production will be produced by Fiona’s theatre company, Here For Now. 
• From October, Lucy Jane Atkinson will be directing The Sleeping Sword at the Watermill. The show will be adapted by fellow alum Tatty Hennessy and will be created with blind and visually impaired artists, with integrated audio description and creative captioning throughout. 
• Netflix have set a 15 July release for the upcoming Persuasion adaptation, starring Nikki Amuka-Bird and Yolanda Kettle. 
• Filming recently finished for Martinez, Margaritas and Murder! written and directed by James Helsing. The film is set to be released later this year. 
• Hugh Skinner has joined MyAnna Buring in the cast for Netflix’s The Witcher. 
• Tom Morton-Smith will be adapting My Neighbour Totoro for stage, premiering at the Barbican this autumn from Royal Shakespeare Company. 
• Rory Kinnear has joined the cast of Netflix’s upcoming series The Diplomat. 

Latest news 

• Congratulations to Stuart Thompson (Most Promising Newcomer for Spring Awakening), Ben Daniels (Best Actor for The Normal Heart), and Rebecca Frecknall (Best Director for Cabaret) who were amongst the winners at this year’s Critics Circle Theatre Awards. 
• Congratulations to Rebecca Frecknall, who won the award for Best Director at the recent Olivier Awards. Cabaret also won for Best Musical Revival and swept the awards for Acting in a Musical.  
• Congratulations to Habib Nasib Nader for winning Best Supporting Actor at the Oliviers for Life of Pi. 
• And congratulations to all our alumni involved in winning productions, including Anna Maxwell Martin and Laura Howard (Assistant Lighting Designer) for Constellations, Hugh Coles for Back to the Future: The Musical, and Tabitha Piggott (Production Manager) for Old Bridge. Niamh Gaffney worked as Associate Sound for Cabaret, which won the Best Sound Design award. 
• Please Help – created by and starring Lucy Pearman – has been nominated for the Rockie Award for Short Fiction Programme. 
• Luca Panetta has been nominated at the Offies for Lighting Design, for Diary of a Somebody. 
• MA Directing graduate Júlia Levai has been commissioned by PROJEKT EUROPA and Rose Theatre for PROJEKT ELEVATE. Find out more.
• Congratulations to Colm Gleeson, Will Bishop and Stephen Hagan, whose short film I Have Heard You Calling in the Night won Best Screenplay and the Festival Directors’ Choice Award at the Unrestricted View Film Festival.
